  career information for anesthesiologists

Experience in cardiac and pediatric anesthesia is not a requisite but is always a plus. We are also interested in candidates who can demonstrate efficiency and expertise in regional anesthesia, as several of our centers are fast becoming orthopedic centers of excellence. Call and vacation are distributed equally amongst the MDs. We offer a generous benefits package. And depending on the group’s current needs, we try to be flexible with the terms of hire, i.e., full-time vs. part-time, partnership track vs. employee. If you are interested or have any further questions, please send a letter introducing yourself and a current Curriculum Vitae to:

Dr. Maribel G. Gamoso,

Director of MD Recruitment
Total Anesthesia, Inc.
7130 Glen Forest Drive Suite 410
Richmond, VA 23226

Also, our group provides overnight coverage for our acute care hospital.
New hires, once finished with orientation, would take the same amount of home call as our current call-taking employees, around once every two to three weeks. While no-call/no-weekend positions exist within our group, these positions are currently reserved for our longtime employees.

While the majority of our cases are done at our largest hospital, our exployees benefit from our flexibility. We ask our employees to be willing to travel to our other sites as clinical needs require. This flexibility allows better protection of our post-call and vacationing employees.
